Rev. Charles Perry, Minister

Reverend Charles Perry has been a Unity Truth Student for over 20 years. He received his Master's of Divinity from Unity Institue in June, 2013. He first attended Unity of Today in Kissimmee, FL, where he served two terms on the Board of Trustees, eventually becoming President of the Board. He then attended Christ Church Unity in Orlando, Fl, serving as a platform assistant, singing in the choir, serving as the Board Chaplain and Treasurer, and finally becoming the Associate Minister in 2009.

Rev. Charles also became a member of Unity of Santa Barbara, and served there as the Guest Minister for the summer of 2011 while the Senior Minister was on sabbatical.  Rev. Charles also serves as a Chief Warrant Officer Four in the Alabama Army National Guard and is currently the Targeting Officer for the 142nd Battlefield Surveillance Brigade.

Having had previous ambitions as an actor and director, Rev. Charles also holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, and a BFA from West Virginia University.

He is a native of West Virginia and an avid Mountaineer football fan. Rev. Charles celebrates 12 years of sobriety, having been involved in 12 step programs for many years. He openly shares his own recovery because he believes we are all recovering our divinity.

Rev. Charles has two daughters: Cheyvonne, 25, is enrolled at Florida State and Colleen, 24, graduated in theater and is living her dream in Chicago doing theater and improv.
